ABOUT DR. MANDADI

I’m an edupreneur with 30 years of experience in teaching and educational management. In terms of academic qualifications, I have a BA: Ed degree in English & Education, a Master’s degree in English and TESL & a Ph.D in Applied Linguistics.

Holding a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics along with advanced degrees in English and Education, I have taught at world class institutions such as Saudi Aramco, Sultan Qaboos University, McMaster University and the University of Toronto in Canada.

WHY am I Running for Ward 7 Councillor Mississauga

I am running to be the next Ward 7 Councillor because I believe our community deserves a strong, accessible, and accountable voice at City Hall. Like many residents of Ward 7, I came to Canada seeking opportunity and a better future.

Since immigrating to Canada in 2013, I have experienced firsthand the challenges that families, seniors, newcomers, students, and small business owners face every day. As an educator, I have spent my career listening to people, understanding their concerns, and helping them succeed.

Through my work teaching immigrants, university students, and working professionals, I have met thousands of residents from diverse backgrounds and heard their stories about housing affordability, traffic congestion, community safety, rising costs of living, and the need for better city services. Ward 7 is one of the most diverse communities in Mississauga, serving neighbourhoods such as Cooksville, Fairview, Gordon Woods, and parts of Erindale. It is a vibrant community, but residents continue to face challenges related to traffic, infrastructure, housing, community safety, park improvements, and managing growth responsibly.

I am not a career politician. I am a teacher, a community member, and a resident who believes that local government should listen more and deliver better results.

I am running because:

Residents deserve a councillor who is accessible and responsive.
Our neighbourhoods need safer streets and better traffic management.
Growth and development must be balanced with protecting community character.
Seniors deserve services and programs that help them age with dignity.
Newcomers and families need support to succeed and feel connected.
Taxpayer dollars should be spent responsibly and transparently.
Residents should have a stronger voice in decisions that affect their neighbourhoods.

My vision is simple: A Ward 7 where residents are heard, neighbourhoods are protected, and opportunities are available for everyone. Throughout my career, I have built bridges between people from different cultures and backgrounds. I will bring that same spirit of collaboration, respect, and service to City Hall. I am asking for your support because together we can build a safer, stronger, and more connected Ward 7.
